Cleaty Thomas

Cleaty Thomas 93, of Sunman passed away Tuesday August 22, 2017 at the Waters of Dillsboro. Cleaty was born Thursday October 11, 1923 the daughter of Alvis and Susan (Jones) Jordan. She married Elijah Thomas July 9, 1942 and he preceded her in death August 26, 1989. .

     Cleaty had worked for Batesville Casket Company for 20 years. She was a member of the Dearborn Baptist Church.  She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and baking cookies. She quilted for the family and the church.

     Cleaty is survived by brother: James (Janice) Jordan of Muncie, IN; sister: Edith Antill of Batesville; special sister-in-law: Marie Jordan; special niece: Dorine Kash; special nephew: Michael Jordan, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, 1 sister.

     Funeral services will be 10:30AM Friday August 25, 2017 at the Dearborn Baptist Church 9638 SR 48 Aurora, IN 47001, with Pastor Darrel Sparks officiating.  Burial will be at 2PM at Rose Hill Burial Park 2421 Princeton Road Hamilton, Ohio 45011.   Visitation will be 9-10:30AM Friday August 25 also at the church.  Memorials may be given to either the Dearborn Baptist Church or Manchester Life Squad.
