Kathryn M (`) Kleine-Adams

Kathryn Kleine-Adams, 91 of Cleves, OH formally of Dillsboro passed away March 14, 2018 at Shady Nook Care Center in Lawrenceburg. She was born May 10, 1926 in Rising Sun, IN; the daughter of William and Myrtle (Bailey) Oak. She married Bernard Lee Kleine on October 5, 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1994 and later married Leroy Adams November 28, 1998 and he survives.    She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Thrivent.  She helped Bernard run Kleine’s Lumber Yard in Dillsboro until they moved to Fl in 1963, where she waitressed for many years, until they moved to NM.  There they owned and operated a motel from 1974 - 1982, then they moved back to High Springs, FL until Bernard’s death in 1994; She then moved back to Dillsboro. She loved life and had a great sense of humor; She was always busy gardening, exercising, sewing, cooking.   

     Kathryn is survived by her husband: Leroy Adams of Cleves, Ohio; Children: Bernard Lynn Kleine of Seminole, Fl; James Lee Kleine of Mountain City, TN; Connie Marie (Phillip) Pendleton of Safety Harbor, FL; step-children: Leroy (Jackie) Adams Jr. Harrison, Ohio; Barbara Adams of Covington, Ky; Valerie Adams of Cleves, Ohio; brother: Jack (Grace Ann) Oak of Dillsboro; sister-in-law: Janet (William) Oak of Dillsboro. 8 Grandchildren; 17 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Clinton, Earl, William Oak; sister: Francis Shelton.   

     Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Monday March 19, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dillsboro with Rev. Richard Kolaskey officiating.  Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will also be Monday 10 a.m.—12 p.m. at the church.  Memorials may be given to the Dearborn County Hospice or Trinity Lutheran Church.
