Charlotte E Vickroy

            Charlotte E. Vickroy, 90, of Dillsboro passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at her residence with family by her side.  Charlotte was born Wednesday, May 29, 1929 in Dearborn County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Floyd and Iva (Lutz) White.  She married Stanley Vickroy in 1947 and he survives.  Charlotte was a former member of the Dillsboro United Methodist Church and was married to Stanley, the love of her life, for 72 years.  She was a homemaker; enjoyed spending time with family; gardening; canning; cooking; and drove a school bus for Dillsboro school early in life.

            Charlotte is survived by her husband Stanley of Dillsboro; sons Thomas “Tom” (Helen) Vickroy of Moores Hill and Robert (Mona) Vickroy of Ponce de Leon, Florida; grandson Christopher Vickroy and Megan of Valley Center, Kansas; granddaughter Candice Flinner and Justin of Destin, Florida; and great grandson Wyatt Vickroy of Valley Center, Kansas.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Donald White and sister Mary Williams.
