Frances I. (Dennis) Mounce

Frances I. (Dennis) Mounce, age 75, of  Dillsboro passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 (time) 11:40 a.m. while in hospice care at The Waters of Dillsboro with Dearborn County Hospice. 

Frances was born Friday, February 6, 1942 at home on Hayes Branch Creek, Dennis Road in Dillsboro, IN to the late Harry Carl “Pat” Dennis and Ila Florence (Stamper). 

She attended Dillsboro High School.  She was a hard worker.  She held jobs with US Shoe Corp of Osgood, IN and Woodland Hills Care Center as a CNA until her health would no longer allow. 

Frances was baptized in August 1985 at Versailles Southern Baptist Church by Pastor Bill Miller.  She later joined Bear Creek Baptist Church in Friendship, IN where she truly enjoyed being with her church family and friends. 

She loved to work word find puzzles, play cards, crochet when she could and she enjoyed her family and her church.  She loved to wear the color “Red”. 

Frances was united in marriage in 1959 and had four children, Randy, Rodney, R. Raynell, D. Regena.  She later was married in 1974 and had one child, Starla.  Frances married David L. Mounce in 1983, which he proceeded her in death.

Frances is survived by her children: Randy (Patricia) Hamilton of Moores Hill, IN, Rodney (Rena) Hamilton of Dillsboro, IN, R. Raynell (Rodney) Beach of Rising Sun, IN, D. Regena (Dave) Wood of Morrow, OH, and Starla (Rocky) Walton of Rising Sun, IN.

Also survived by grandchildren: Bridget, Karla, Nathan, Jacob, Abigail, Jynell Nicole “Nikki”, Jerri Jenell “Jenny”, Corey, Alayna, Savannah, Adam, Amanda and (13) great grandchildren.

Survived by siblings: Florence Neal, Bill (Ruby) Dennis of Dillsboro, IN, Mary (Larry) Evans of Dillsboro, IN, in-laws: Anna-Lea Dennis, Ereca Dennis, several nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

Proceeded in death by her spouse David, her parents Harry “Pat” Dennis and Ila Florence (Stamper).  Siblings: Junior Dennis, Kenneth Dennis, Albert “Sonny” Dennis, Gerald Dennis and Margaret (Dennis) Eisenecher, grand-daughter: Emily Wood.

Funeral Services will be held  at 1PM Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at Bear Creek Baptist Church, Friendship, IN.  Visitation 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Oakdale Cemetery in Dillsboro, IN.  Pastor Sherman Hughes of her church will officiate the services.
