Garrett Luke Baxter

Garrett “Luke” Baxter 16, of Vevay passed away Monday October 30, 2017 at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. Luke was born Saturday April 28, 2001 in Lawrenceburg, IN the son of Jeffrey Baxter and Heather Block.  Luke enjoyed going to church with his grandmother at the First Baptist Church of Dillsboro. Luke was a student of the Switzerland County School and had worked at Patrons Mexican Restaurant in Vevay.  Garrett enjoyed shooting his muzzleloader with his dad in the back yard, weight- lifting at school, helping his grandpa work on cars and being in the woods.    

      Garrett is survived by mother: Heather Block of Vevay; father: Jeffrey (Chasity) Baxter of Milan; brother: Colten Baxter of Milan; maternal grandparents: Walter Block of Dillsboro and Penny (Michael) Jones of Webster, FL; paternal grandmother: Edna Baxter of Dillsboro; step brothers: John Halcomb of Texas, Tyler, Christian, Corey Halcomb all of Milan; step sister: Brooklynn Halcomb of Milan; aunts, uncles, cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather Harold Baxter, and Great-Grandmother Betty Gentry.
 

  Funeral services will be at 1 PM on Saturday November 4, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Dillsboro. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be Saturday 10AM-1PM also at the church. Memorials may be given to the Family. Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home, Dillsboro, entrusted with the arrangements.  P.O.
