James E. Carter, 49, of Sunman passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Ripley Crossing in Milan. James was born Thursday, February 5, 1970 in Lawrenceburg, IN the son of Millard and Harriett (Sparkman) Carter. James worked for Carter roofing as a roofer and was of the Baptist faith. His hobbies included: working on cars, auto-body work and chopping wood.
James is survived by his father Millard Carter (girlfriend Donna Land) of Sunman; mother Harriett Carter of Batesville; son Zachary Carter of Versailles; daughter Destiny Carter of Holton; sisters: Kim (Bob) Joerger of Harrison, OH and Deborah Messer of Moores Hill; and one grandchild Kenneth Engel. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
