Lawrence "Larry" F Damon

Lawrence “Larry” Damon 80, of Milan, formerly of Dillsboro passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at Ripley Crossing. Larry was born Saturday, January 15, 1938, the son of Ervin and Thelma (Richardson) Damon. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM #151 and American Legion Post #452.  He was a 1954 Dillsboro High School graduate.  Larry worked at Monsanto for 42 years as a fork lift operator. He enjoyed Jeep racing- Gravel Rama and spending time with his family.   

Larry is survived by son: Mike Damon of Northfield, Ohio; Daughters: Tammy (Scott) Bowling of Sharonville; Joyce Engel of Dillsboro. 5 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Judy Goodman.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Monday July 9, 2018 at Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home with Allen Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Dillsboro. Visitation will be 10-11:45 a.m. Monday, July 9 also at the funeral home. Masonic Service will also be Monday 11:45 a.m. until time of service.  Memorials may be made in his memory to the Dillsboro Life Squad or Dillsboro Fire Department.
