Richard L. Marksberry Sr. 86 of Milan passed away March 30 at Highpoint Health in Lawrenceburg.  Dick was born Monday February 1, 1932 in Dillsboro the son of George E. and Alma (Cash) Marksberry.  He married Nancy (Gilbert) Marksberry who preceded him in death in February of 2000.  Dick served his country have been in the US Navy.  He retired as an electrician at Monsanto. He was a member of the Methodist Church, Milan F&AM #31; Milan American Legion Post #235, and a former member of the Milan Volunteer Fire Dept. 

     Dick is survived by son Richard Marksberry Jr. of Indianapolis and daughter Aimee Doyle of Clayton, Indiana; sisters Phyllis (Larry) Schultz and Rosie Dugle; Grandchildren Amber Pethtel and Ashley Doyle Smith; and great grandchildren Kolton Pethtel and Zane Smith.  He was preceded in death by wife Nancy and sister Georgina Marshall. 

     Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in New Craven Cemetery with full military rites by the Milan Legion Post #235.  Visitation will also be Wednesday 10-12Noon at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Milan Volunteer Fire Dept.  Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements, 707 S.
