Bernard “Bernie” Keene, 86, formerly of Milan passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at the Heritage House of Greensburg. Bernie was born November 14, 1933 in Batesville, Indiana the son of the late Joseph and Geneva (Bessler) Keene. He married Wilma Grossman April 7, 1956 and she preceded him in death December 7, 2003. Bernie was a former employee for Romweber Furniture in Batesville.
Bernie is survived by his sisters Rita (Jack) Ferkinhoff of Napoleon and Marie (Dan) Halcomb of Osgood; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Wilma, and brother Donald Keene.
Due to the Governor’s Covid-19 mandate, a private visitation will be held for Bernie Keene’s family. A public graveside service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery in Napoleon. Memorials may be given in honor of Bernie to the Alzheimer Association.
