Bernice (Eldridge) Spurlock

       Bernice (Eldridge) Spurlock, 77, of Madison, formerly of Holton, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024, at her home. Bernice was born on Saturday, March 29, 1947, in Letcher County, Kentucky; daughter of Lloyd and Marie (Caudill) Eldridge. She married the love of her life, Elmer Spurlock, on January 22, 1967, and he preceded her in death on November 23, 2018. She enjoyed making quilts, fishing, gardening, cooking, and loved having her family around. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

       Bernice will be missed by her children Wanda Stanley of Madison, Sharon (PJ) Blair of Madison, and Ellen Spurlock of Osgood; brother Hershel (Geraldine) Eldridge of Milan; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

       Bernice was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Marie Eldridge; husband of 52 years, Elmer Spurlock; daughter Joyce Spurlock Robinson; and sister Erma Roark.

       There are no services at this time. Memorials may be given in honor of Bernice to Autism/St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
