Diana "Dee Dee" L. (Harvey) Abbott

           Diana “Dee Dee” L. (Harvey) Abbott, 74, of Dillsboro passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at The Waters of Dillsboro. Diana was born on Wednesday, October 15, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter of Charles and Ruth (Schulz) Harvey. Diana worked for Aurora Casket in the paint department. Diana attended Farmers Retreat and graduated from Dillsboro High School in 1965. She enjoyed gardening, putting out two big gardens every year, sewing, traveling, and was a farm girl at heart. Her greatest passion in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

            Diana is survived by Kenneth “Kenny” Abbott of Aurora; son Lee Abbott (Jana Wolf) of Lawrenceburg; sisters Arlene Ray of Dillsboro and Joyce (J.D.) Jones of Aurora; two special sisters-in-law Janet Harmeyer of Connersville and Carol Beach of Aurora; brothers-in-law Robert Abbott of Aurora, Ronald Abbott of Florida, and Paul Eiklor of Milan; and two grandchildren Luci Abbott and Leeland Abbott.

            Diana is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ruth, and sister Judy Eiklor.

            Family and friends may gather in remembering Diana from 9 - 11 AM on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at the Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home in Dillsboro. A service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Burial will take place in Oakdale Cemetery.
