Eddie Wayne Allen, 65, of Dillsboro passed away peacefully in his sleep, Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at his home with his loving family by his side. Eddie was born on Friday, October 22, 1958, in Cincinnati; son of Edwin Allen and Norma Jean (Pierce) Cranfield. Eddie worked as an over the road truck driver for 22 years and later worked for 24 years as a pipe fitter at Ford in Sharonville and Batavia, Ohio, and was a member of the United Auto Workers Local #863. Eddie was passionate about antique cars and street rods.

       Eddie will be missed by his companion of 28 years, Freda Davis of Dillsboro; sons Jefferey Allen of Kentucky, Joshua Keith of Florida, and Justin Keith of Florida; daughter Amanda (Chad) Slayton of Florida; stepdaughters Diana Davis of Dillsboro and Rhonda Keith of Dillsboro; mother Norma Jean Cranfield of Dillsboro; 23 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

       Eddie was preceded in death by his father Edwin Allen; sister Christine Toomey; and grandson Bradley Patrick Keith.

       Family and friends may gather in remembering Eddie from 9:00-11:00 AM, Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home in Dillsboro. A service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Eddie to the Donor's Choice.
