UPDATED SERVICE ARRANGEMENTS

          Elmer Gene Riley, 80, of Elrod passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Mercy Health West Hospital. Elmer was born on Saturday, January 31, 1942, in Booneville, Kentucky; son of Lenard and Bertie (Bowman) Riley. Elmer married Martha Smith, who survives. Elmer proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Cemco Inc in Cincinnati, Ohio as a machine operator. Elmer enjoyed hunting, farming, and any type of outdoor activities. He loved Nascar, watching his favorite westerns on TV, and his dog “Byrd”.

          Elmer will be missed by his loving wife, Martha Riley, of Elrod; daughters Brenda Stamper of Cincinnati, Ohio and Melissa Quinn (Tim) of Hebron, Kentucky; brothers Charles, Steve, Fred, and Jack Riley all of Booneville, Kentucky; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

          Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, Lenard and Bertie Riley.

          Family and friends may gather in remembering Elmer from 2:00 - 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Charles Miller officiating. Burial will take place in New Craven Cemetery with full military rites provided by the Milan American Legion Post #235. Memorials may be given in honor of Elmer to the American Heart Association.
