Elsie "Jackie" Jacqueline (Abplanalp) Peters

       Elsie Jacqueline “Jackie” “Baby Girl” (Abplanalp) Peters, 77, of Greensburg passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023 at her home. Jackie was born on Friday, May 3, 1946 in Pierceville; daughter of Frank and Dorothy Louella (Arthur) Abplanalp. Jackie married the love of her life, Darrel Peters, on December 10, 1966 and he survives. She was a member of the Door of Hope Worship Center in Goshen, Ohio. Jackie loved to cook for her family and for her church. She also loved to sing at home for her family and at church as well. Jackie most of all cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren.

       Jackie will be missed by her husband, Bishop Darrel Peters of Greensburg; sons Darren (Lisa) Peters Greensburg and Justin (Tabitha) Peters of Dundee, Michigan; daughters Teresa (Wendell) Hensley of Cincinnati and Nova Peters of Owensboro, Kentucky; sisters Helen (Jim) Grigsby of Delaware, Indiana and Cathy Saylor of Milan; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

       Jackie was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Dorothy Louella Abplanalp; sisters Patty Horton and JoAnne Dunaway; and brother Johnny Abplanalp.

       Family and friends may gather in remembering Jackie from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 5, 2023 with Pastor Jesse W. Barrett officiating. Burial will take place at Rossburg Cemetery in New Point, Indiana. Memorials may be given in honor of Jackie to the family.
