        Hazel Marie (Lewis) Johnson, 98, of Milan passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Ripley Crossing with her loving family by her side. Hazel was born on Thursday, May 28, 1925 in Moores Hill; daughter of Dilver and Dorothea (Klausing) Lewis. Hazel enjoyed reading and watching game shows such as The Price Is Right and Let’s Make A Deal. She also liked to work on scrapbooking, gardening, and baking. 


        Hazel will be missed by her sons Virgil (Glenda) Johnson of Lawrenceburg and Gary Lee Johnson of Dillsboro; daughter Kathy (Harold) Gross of Manchester, Kentucky; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.


        Hazel was preceded in death by her parents Dilver and Dorothea Lewis; husband Glenn Johnson; daughter Glenna Struckman; 3 brothers; 1 sister; and 1 granddaughter Stacie Dodson.


        Family and friends may gather in remembering Hazel from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Monday, July 24, 2023 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Charles Miller officiating. The burial will take place in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be given in honor of Hazel to Our Hospice or American Cancer Society.
