Obituary
Jack Avery Barnes, 64, of Milan passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at his home. Jack was born on Monday, January 26, 1959 in Lodi, Ohio; son of Charles William and Lulu (Markley) Lutes. Jack was a dishwasher at Bob Evans in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a Star Trek fanatic, loved tinkering with electricity, and grew a vegetable garden. Jack was an animal lover and also loved to call and talk to his family and friends.
Jack will be missed by his brothers Charles (Marella) Lutes of Florida and James (Mona Polly) Barnes of Versailles; sisters Carolyn (Mark) VanCleave of Milan, Linda Summer of Florida, Aneita (Jim) Shirah of Florida, and Pamela Steele of Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews and several very close friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents Charles William and Lulu Lutes and siblings Joe Barnes, Robin Barnes, Doris Brown, and Sher Lutes.
There are no services at this time. Memorials may be given in honor of Jack to the Ripley County Humane Society.
