Judith "Judy" Volz Obituary

       Judith “Judy” (Davidson) Volz, 74, of Milan passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville. Judy was born on Thursday, July 21, 1949 in Lawrenceburg; daughter of James and Margie (Jenkins) Davidson. Judy married the love of her life, George Volz, on September 16, 2000, and he survives. Judy worked at Hillrom as an assembler for 42 years. She was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church, Milan American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and the Milan VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Judy enjoyed traveling with her husband, cooking, and gardening. Most of all, Judy cherished spending time with her family and friends.

      Judy will be missed by her husband George Volz of Milan; son Joe (Kate Kissel) Cook of Milan; daughters Tammy (Martin) Bush of Sunman and Brooke (Mark) Wuest of Milan; brothers Greg (Tammy) Davidson of Milan, Larry Davidson of Moores Hill, Tim Davidson of Moores Hill, and William Davidson of Moores Hill; sisters Marleen (Melvin) Honeycutt of Milan, Shirley Berry of Moores Hill, and Susie (Richard) Van Dyke of Greensburg; grandsons Brady Cook of Lawrenceburg, Brett Cook of Cincinnati, Devin Wuest of Milan, and Dalton Wuest of Milan; one great grandson; brother-in-law Henry Volz of Milan; and several sisters-in-law.

       Judy was preceded in death by her parents James and Margie Davidson; brothers David Davidson, James Davidson, Jerry Davidson, Pat Lazenby, and Raymond Jenkins; and sister Linda Colson.

       Family and friends may gather in remembering Judy from 9:00-11:00 AM, Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM with Father Shaun Whittington officiating. The Milan American Legion Ladies Auxiliary will hold their services at 10:45 AM. Burial will take place at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Judy to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, St. Charles Church for Mass, or the Milan American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
