Judy Le (Stanley) Schaefer

            Judy Le (Stanley) Schaefer, 80, of Dillsboro, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at The Waters of Dillsboro. Judy was born on Wednesday, January 1, 1941 in Lansing, Michigan to Lemar Stanley and Ruth (Thompson) Stanley. She spent time as a teacher in Michigan before eventually moving to Indiana. Judy was a big collector who loved to fish. In her free time, she enjoyed volunteering at Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge in Madison.

           Judy is survived by her loving husband, Edward Schaefer Sr., of Dillsboro; sons Donald Montgomery of Columbus, IN. and Edward Harry Schaefer Jr. of Pittsburg; daughters Candice Clayburn of Columbus, IN. and Debra Watkins (Ken) of St. Leon; sister Jane Londerville of Washington state; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joe Stanley, sisters Joyce Mulvey and Jamie Stanley; and one grandchild.

           Family and friends may gather to remember Judy from 9 AM to 11 AM on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home in Dillsboro. A service will be held at 11 AM. Burial will follow immediately after at Miami Cemetery in Miamitown, Ohio located on Hamilton Cleves Road (State Route 128) Miamitown, Ohio, 45041.
