Kenneth "Ken" McGee Obituary

Kenneth “Ken” Franklin McGee, 70, of Cross Plains passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at King’s Daughters Health in Madison.  Ken was born on Tuesday, June 20, 1950 in Milan, son of the late Dale and Ilene (Harting) McGee.  Ken married the love of his life Judy (Sedam) McGee on September 26, 1970.  He started his own auto repair business known as Ken’s Garage in April 1977, which he enjoyed building engines, and after working 42 years, he retired in December 2019.  He enjoyed racing, whether he was watching, going to Edgewater Motor Sports Park, or racing mud trucks and he also enjoyed farming.  His real enjoyment was watching his grandsons play sports and spending time with his family.

Ken is survived by his wife Judy of Cross Plains; son Kevin (Danielle) McGee of Friendship; and grandsons Logan and Landen McGee.  Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Ilene, with his father passing on February 19th in 2003, exactly 18 years apart.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family with Minister Randy Thieman officiating.  Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.  Memorials may be given in honor of Ken to Multiple Myeloma or the America Heart Association.  Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home, 12887 Lenover Street, Box 146, Dillsboro, IN 47018, (812)432-5480 has been entrusted with arrangements.  Please reach out through our website at www.filterdevriesmoore.com to leave an online condolence or a memory of Ken for the family.
