       Kirt Dorance Kohlmeier, 71, of Milan passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024, at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Kirt was born on Wednesday, July 15, 1953, in Hollywood, California; son of Dorance and Barbara (Wheeler) Kohlmeier. Kirt married his wife, Carol Gabriel, and she survives him. Kirt was both a schoolteacher and coach for Hoover High School of Glendale, California, for 35 years. He was known to always keep himself busy by working on projects and fixing things around his home. Kirt also enjoyed cooking and golfing.


       Kirt will be missed by his wife, Carol Gabriel, of Milan; daughters Guinevere Platt of New York and Nicole (Kevin) Sherbin of Chicago; brother Kris Kohlmeier of California; and grandchildren Spencer and Sidney Sherbin.


       Kirt was preceded in death by his parents Dorance and Barbara Kohlmeier.


       A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.
