Margaret (Fox) Roberts

           Margaret Roberts, 89, of Dillsboro passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at her residence. Margaret was born on Wednesday, April 13, 1932, in Dearborn County, Indiana to Albert and Irene (Dawson) Fox. She married David Roberts Sr. on April 12, 1952, and he preceded her in death on February 11, 2005. Margaret was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, working in her garden on the farm, visiting with family, and in her spare time she enjoyed working on puzzles. Margaret’s greatest passion in life was spending time with her family.

           Margaret will be missed by her children David Roberts Jr. and Maureen Jackson both of Dillsboro; granddaughter Roxana Jackson; and sister Francis Dixon of Columbus, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Irene, husband David Sr., and her brothers Les and Arthur “Bud” Fox.

            Family and friends may gather in remembrance of Margaret from 10 - 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home in Dillsboro. A service will be held immediately following at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home with Pastor Sherman Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Margaret to the American Cancer Society.
