Mary Pauline (Bryant) Barger

            Mary Pauline (Bryant) Barger, 88, of Dillsboro, formerly Harrodsburg, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Shady Nook Care Center in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Pauline was born Thursday, January 19, 1933, in New Miami, Ohio, the daughter of George and Pearl (Gilley) Bryant. She married her loving husband, Rev. Roy Lee Barger, on May 19, 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2011. Pauline was a former member of the Church of God in Harrodsburg, Kentucky where she was the church clerk, and her husband was the minister. She was a member of the Church’s Ladies Auxiliary and loved reading her Bible and was also an Eastern Star member. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and being a beautician. Her greatest passion in life was spending time with her family and she loved to help other people whenever she could.

            Pauline will be greatly missed by her family including her daughter: Sonie (Henry) Wells Sr., sons: James (Ollie) Barger, Stephen (Teresa) Barger, and Timothy (Cynthia) Barger; daughter-in-law Nadine Barger; son-in-law Charles Tincher; numerous grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

            Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy, daughter Linda Tincher, son Perry Barger, grandchild Eric Wayne Barger, great-grandchild Alec Cain, sisters Florence Stroyek and Bonnie Bryant, and brother Paul Bryant.

            Family and friends may gather in remembrance of Pauline from 4 - 5 PM Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home in Dillsboro. A service celebrating her life will be held at 5 PM Tuesday, September 21 also at the funeral home with Rev. Mona Safley officiating. Burial will take place at Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, Kentucky, 529 N Greenville Street, Harrodsburg, Kentucky 40330, at 11 AM Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Memorials may be given in honor of Pauline to the American Heart Association or Shady Nook Activity Department.
