Matthew "Matt" Andrew Leedy

       Matthew Andrew “Matt” Leedy, 64, of Aurora passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Health Hospice in Edgewood. Matt was born on Friday, October 30, 1959, in Cincinnati; son of Willis and Alice (Ludwig) Leedy. Matt married the love of his life, Angela (Courter) Leedy, on March 15, 1980, and she survives him. Matt worked in maintenance at Emery’s in Cincinnati. Matt enjoyed going for rides on his Harley, woodworking, fishing, and tinkering around with things such as doing mechanical work. Most of all Matt cherished spending time with his loving family, especially his grandchildren.

       Matt will be missed by his wife Angela Leedy of Aurora; son Andrew Leedy of Aurora; daughters Kristina (Tom) Griffin of Aurora, Michelle Leedy of Vevay, Amanda Leedy of Milan, and Elizabeth Leedy of Quercus Grove; brothers Jeff (Dietta) Leedy of Erlanger, Kentucky and Greg (Nancy) Leedy of Union, Kentucky; sisters Stephanie (Owen) Branan of Georgetown, Kentucky and Claudia Leedy of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky; 19 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

       Matt was preceded in death by his parents Willis and Alice Leedy and son Steven Leedy.

       Family and friends may gather in remembering Matt from 1:00-2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home in Dillsboro. A service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM. Memorials may be given in honor of Matt to the Family.
