Melody M. (Cutter) Barber

          Melody M. (Cutter) Barber, 59, of Dillsboro passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky. Melody was born on Monday, January 1, 1962 in Wichita Falls, Texas; daughter of Carol and Ruby (Rickets) Cutter. Melody married the love of her life, George Barber on August 28, 2000. Melody was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Sunman and a past member of the Dillsboro Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She worked as a QMA at Ripley Crossing Health Care in Milan. She enjoyed going to the beach and being in the sun. She loved working in her flowerbeds and playing Bingo. Her greatest passion in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

          Melody will be missed by her husband, George, of Dillsboro; sons Cody (Angel) York of Moores Hill and Jacob Moody of Dillsboro; stepdaughter Hanna Simpson of Williamstown, Ohio; brother Billy (Melody) Cutter of Dillsboro; sister Mary Cutter Kephart of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren Owen York, Kaylee York, Austin Lohmiller, Cory Robbins, and Breanna Robbins; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

          Melody is preceded in death by her parents, Carol and Ruby, and brother Rick Cutter.

          Family and friends may gather in remembering Melody from 10 - 11 am on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the First Southern Baptist Church, 403 S Meridian Street, Sunman, IN 47041. A service will immediately follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Donnie Yates officiating. Burial will take place in Oakdale Cemetery in Dillsboro.
