Michael Joseph “Big Mike” “Mikey Joe” Richards, 53, of Moores Hill passed away Friday, January 12, 2024, at his home. Michael was born on Friday, July 17, 1970, in Chicago, Illinois; son of Harley “Doc” Richards and Mary Ann Shelton. Michael graduated from South Dearborn High School where he was an avid weightlifter and played football. Michael worked for Dalton Roofing and worked as a tattoo artist at Bedlam Tattoo. Michael was a member of the Roofers Local 42 of Cincinnati and played pool in a league. He was a dedicated tattoo artist, loved fishing, playing guitar, drawing, and playing pool with friends. Michael also had a profound love of animals of all kinds.

       Michael will be missed by his daughters Jai’Le Roark of Cincinnati and Jaryn Roark of Hamilton; father Harley “Doc” Richards of Lawrenceburg; and sister Jessica (Vince) Frost of Danville, Illinois.

       Michael was preceded in death by his mother Mary Ann Shelton, brother Bobby Richards; and cousin Harold Richards.

       Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be given in honor of Michael to the American Diabetes Association.
