Michael A. Wainscott

       Michael A. Wainscott, 67, of Milan passed away Monday, May 15, 2023 at his home with his loving family by his side. Michael was born on Monday, January 23, 1956 in Shelbyville; son of Arthur and Freida (Thomas) Wainscott. Michael married the love of his life, Mary (Pickett) Wainscott, on August 16, 1986 and she survives. Michael was an over the road truck driver for Hill-Rom. He was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, wood crafting, bowling, and camping.

       Michael will be missed by his wife, Mary Wainscott of Milan; daughter Alice Mikayla (Scott) Wolfer of Burlington, Kentucky; brother Fred (Rita) Wainscott of Shelbyville; sisters Donna Marie (Dan) Blankship of Shelbyville, Connie Chilcot of Shelbyville, Jesse (Scott) Tutrow of Fairview, and Susan (James) Webb of Indianapolis.

       Michael was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Freida Wainscott; brothers Arthur Dean Wainscott and Danny Wainscott; and in-laws James and Alice Pickett/

       Family and friends may gather in remembering Michael from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, Thursday May 18, 2023 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Darrell Thayer officiating. Burial will take place in Old Milan Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Michael to the Family, Margaret Mary Hospice, or Lighthouse Baptist Church Building Fund.
