Nettie (Baker) Richmond, 88, of Moores Hill passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side. Nettie was born on Sunday, December 29, 1935, in Booneville, Kentucky; daughter of Albert and Roetta (Smith) Baker. Nettie married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Richmond, on November 19, 1983, and he preceded her in death on November 26, 2012. Nettie worked at Kahns Meat Packing in Cincinnati. She was a member of Trinity Christian Center in Lawrenceburg. She enjoyed watching the birds in the front yard, gardening, cooking, and traveling. Most of all Nettie loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

       Nettie will be missed by her son Shawn Helton of Moores Hill; daughter Cherie Shaw of Moores Hill; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

       Nettie was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Roetta Baker; husband Bob Richmond; brothers Robert and Dewey Baker; sister Margie Roberts; and great-great-grandson Hudson Walton.

       Family and friends may gather in remembering Nettie from 9:00-11:00 AM, Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM with William “Bill” Benny officiating. Burial will follow at South Sparta Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Nettie to PAWS of Dearborn County.
