Peggy Sue (Worley) Martin, 82, of Batesville passed away Monday, April 28, 2025, at The Waters of Batesville. Peggy was born on Tuesday, September 1, 1942, in Dryden, Virginia; daughter of Elmer and Mable (Barnette) Worley. Peggy worked as a licensed nurse at Dearborn County Hospital from 1980 until her retirement in 2005. She enjoyed listening to music and was known as a dedicated worker.

       Peggy will be missed by her long-time love and companion, Randolph Smith of Washington DC; children John Hurd of Moores Hill, Melissa Buttery of Laurel, Donald Hurd of Springfield, Ohio, Sheila Clark of Lawrenceburg, and Joey Griffin of Manchester; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

       Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Mable Worley and her brothers and sisters Wyman, Lloyd, Cristine, and Nadine.

       There are no services at this time. Memorials may be given in honor of Peggy to The Waters of Batesville Activity Center.
