Philip "Phil" McKittrick Obituary

            Philip “Phil” A. McKittrick, 75, of Milan passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at his residence with his loving family by his side. Phil was born in Milan, Indiana on Tuesday, February 19, 1946, the son of Lovell and Hope (Ridenour) McKittrick. He married Sally (Heller) McKittrick on April 1, 1967 and they shared 47 years of marriage before her passing on May 3, 2014. Phil was an angel to Sally. Phil was employed by Chris Volz farms and retired from Seagram’s. He was an avid IU sports fan and enjoyed watching sports of any sort, which included the Cincinnati Reds and Nascar. He loved growing up on the farm, eating breakfast and visiting with friends at DJ’s and going to tractor shows. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion of Moores Hill and the Union at Seagram’s.     

            Phil will be missed by his surviving family including his children Steven McKittrick (Patty Richards, significant other) of Moores Hill and Melissa (Kurt) Dickman of Batesville; Grandchildren Abigail (Chris) Burris, Cory (Alli) McKittrick, Steven (Chloe) McKittrick, Phillip (Marissa) Dickman, and Mallory (Trent) Green; Great-Grandchildren Ryan and Trent Roell, Bentlee Ertel, Wyatt and Weston McKittrick, Lanceton and Ila Dickman, Langeston Green, Damien, Mason and Adam Dance Dickman and Cody Jones II.

            Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Lovell and Hope, his loving wife Sally, and brothers Gerald “Jake” McKittrick and Curtis “Dale” McKittrick.

            Family and friends may gather for a graveside service in remembrance of Phil at 11:15 AM Thursday, September 9, 2021 at New Cravens Cemetery with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Milan FFA in memory of Phil. Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements, Box 243, Milan, IN 47031, (812) 654-2141.
