Robert A. “Bob” Kreese, 60, of Versailles passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Margaret Mary Health in Batesville. Bob was born on Sunday, June 2, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York; son of Charles and Patricia (Keeley) Kreese. Bob married the love of his life, Katharine “Kathy” (Schilson) Myers in 1997, and she survives him. Bob worked as a corrections officer at Sarasota Sheriff's Department. He served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed building model rockets, beekeeping, and even building his own boat. Bob was always known to have an outgoing and loving personality.

        Bob will be missed by his wife Katharine “Kathy” Myers of Versailles; sons Matt (Sherlind) Smith of Taylorville, Illinois and Andrew (Kristin) Smith of Taylorville, Illinois; daughter Amber (Wes) Smith of Taylorville, Illinois; and 2 grandchildren.

        Bob was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Patricia Kreese and stepson Jimmy Myers.

        There are no services. Memorials may be given in honor of Bob to the family.
