Robert "Bob" Zimmerman Obituary

            Robert “Bob” E. Zimmerman, 97, of Milan passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at Ripley Crossing in Milan.  Bob was born Monday, January 1, 1923 in Jay County, Indiana, the son of the late Ruth (Life) and Forrest Zimmerman.  Bob married Mary Elizabeth Jackson and she preceded him in death.  Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Milan American Legion Post #235.  He was a manufacturing sales manager.  He was a member of the Muncie Friends Meeting and Atlanta Friends Meeting.  He was in the optimus club, served on the Board of Trustees at Earlham College, a lifetime member of the Whitewater Valley Railroad, and a model railroader.

            Bob is survived by his daughter Suzanne Zimmerman of Greendale, Indiana and sister Cholaris Daghlian of Tucson, Arizona.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Forrest, wife Mary, and son Mark Zimmerman.
