Ronald "Ron" Roi Reese

        Ronald “Ron” Roi Reese, 92, of Batesville, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville. Ron was born on Sunday, November 30, 1930 in Boise, Idaho; son of Bernard and Helen (Black) Reese. Ron proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Ron worked at Silvercrest Children’s Development Center as a facility manager for many years. Ron married the love of his life, Angela (Dean) Reese on April 7, 2001 and she survives. Ron was a member of the John Knox Presbyterian Church in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a member of MENSA, Toastmasters, and was a Red Cross volunteer. Ron enjoyed making stained glass art, reading, studying the Bible, traveling, and working crossword and sudoku puzzles.

        Ron will be missed by his wife, Angela Reese of Batesville; son Roger (Melora) Reese of Texas; daughters Rebecca (Stan) Reese of Texas and Ruthanne (Rick) Pritchett of Idaho; stepdaughter Leeann (Wayne) Lewis of Milan; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

        Ron was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Helen Reese; sister Bernadean Tudder; and stepson Tony Benson.

        Services will be held at a later date by the family. Memorials may be given in honor of Ron to John Knox Presbyterian Church; 9104 Westport Rd, Louisville, KY 40242.
