Rutheen "Ruth" (Reynolds) Hankins

          Rutheen “Ruth” (Reynolds) Hankins, 82, of Milan passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at Ripley Crossing in Milan. Ruth was born on Wednesday, October 11, 1939 in Mallie, Kentucky, the daughter of Gordon and Melda (Johnson) Reynolds. Ruth retired from Ripley Crossing where she was a cook for 38 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and she loved music.

          Ruth is survived by her loving children Pam Minar (Jim) of Milan, Sheryl Ison (Randy) of Milan, Bill Hankins (Shannon) of Sunman, and Rhonda Maybrier (Richard) of Milan; eight grandchildren: Shad Hankins, Mandy Kenney, Casey Minar, Ryan Ison, Adam Ison, Billeigh Wintz, Mylz Hankins, and Kayla Maybrier; seven great-grandchildren: Paige, Tyler, Jacob, Trenton, Gracie, Eddie, and Amelia; sisters Catherine Minger (Maurice) of Milan and Margaret Lochard of Milan; and brother Ray Reynolds (Wanda) of Noblesville.

          Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Melda, son Keith Hankins, brothers Marion Reynolds, Haskell Reynolds, Robert Reynolds, and Gordon Reynolds Jr., sisters Sue Reynolds and Pauline Reynolds, and grandson Jason Wintz.

          Family and friends may gather in remembering Ruth from 4-6 pm Monday, November 15, 2021 at Hope Baptist Church, 15593 Hwy US 50, Dillsboro, IN 47018. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 6 pm also at the church with Pastors Tom Holt and Ron Miller officiating.
