Shaun Vilardo Obituary

          Shaun W. Vilardo, 47, of Dillsboro passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at his residence with his loving family by his side. Shaun was born on Tuesday, January 29, 1974 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Patricia (Vilardo) Perkins. Shaun married the love of his life, Sallie Dawson, on February 19, 1999. He worked for Valley Asphalt Company in Cincinnati, Ohio as a plant operator. He attended the First Baptist Church in Aurora. Shaun was a member of the Hopewell Masonic Lodge F & AM #80 of Dillsboro, the Scottish Rites, and the National Rifle Association. He loved being outdoors and could often be found hunting, fishing, or going on elk hunts with his buddies in Colorado. He enjoyed woodworking, making shooting benches. His greatest passion in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

          Shaun is survived by his wife Sallie Vilardo; sons Shaun, Dawson, and Chance; daughter Karisa (Gary) Good; Mother Patricia Perkins; sister Sarah (Brian) Kuntz all of Dillsboro; father-in-law Tom Dawson II; Cindy Ryan; brother-in-law Tom Dawson III; four grandchildren: Sawyer, Monroe, Selleck, and Slade Good; and six nieces.

          Shaun is preceded in death by fathers James Dean Perkins and Paul Steve Ryan; mother-in-law Pauline Dawson; and Paternal grandparents Fern and Tony Vilardo.

          Family and friends may gather in remembering Shaun from 4 - 7 PM on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the First Baptist Church, 6060 Blair Road, Aurora, IN 47001. A masonic service will be held at 6:45 PM provided by the Hopewell Masonic Lodge F & AM #80. A service will immediately follow at 7 PM also at the church with Pastor William Secrest officiating. Memorials may be given in honor of Shaun to the Hopewell Masonic Lodge or the family.
